Richard

As a kid growing up In the Netherlands we went camping in several countries in Europe soon I start working in construction and me and my sister went to France to look for property to start a campground a few years later I decided to move to Florida and start working on a campground for a few years I get my CDL and start driving a big truck through the USA for a few years after I met Joy we started working on fixing up houses and renting them out as vacation homes and start growing the vacation home business and wanted to extend it with a Glamping business. As we want to explore and grow more we went to Colorado to the glamping show for a couple of days convention we have seen different kinds of ideas and tents from there we heard and met Nathan from timberline glamping Co talking about glamping we loved it and very interested to know how we can join them.

Joy

My name is Joy originally from the Philippines, I grew up in a farm and close to the beach, was working in an electronics manufacturing Co. for 2 decades came here in Florida yrs ago to pursue my dreams and better opportunities, worked in hospitality and customer service industry for couple of years, when pandemic hit I decided to came back to school to gain more knowledge. I met Richard a couple of years ago and we talked about our dreams, plans and goals and how we can achieve them. We started working on it together and making it happen. We decided to stayed in the barn to save money and go further until we have more projects and fixing up houses, because we want to grow more and explore unique vacation rentals we’ve always talked about glamping and searching how we can start, we planned and eventually made to Colorado 2yrs ago to attend the glamping show from there we learned a lot of things and met Nathan, We’re very interested and determined to learn from him and joined the timberline team. Our plan was to attend the glamping show and conventions every year with a lot of knowledge we gained from the glamping show. Due to the natural disasters we had last year we didn't make it to Colorado but It will not stop our dream from there, the situation gives us more challenge to work hard and patience to pursue our dreams and make it into reality with Timberline Glamping.
